Art Teacher – Internationella Engelska Skolan Sigtuna

Internationella Engelska Skolan Västerås is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Art Teacher to join our team for the 2025/2026 academic year. This role involves teaching Art to students in grades 4–9 from diverse backgrounds, contributing to a creative, inclusive, and dynamic learning environment.

Your responsibilities:

Teach Art to students in grades 4–9
Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons
Share mentorship duties and support the academic and personal development of students
Maintain regular communication with students and guardians
Uphold and actively contribute to the school’s values and educational vision
Collaborate with the student health and special education teams
Participate in school events and activities that promote the aesthetics department

We are looking for someone who:

Holds a valid Swedish teaching certification (lärarlegitimation) in Art or an equivalent foreign teacher qualification.
Is proficient in both English and Swedish, spoken and written
Has experience teaching Art, preferably in grades 4–9
Inspires creative expression and active student engagement
Builds a safe, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment
Has a flexible, positive, and collaborative approach to work
