About this vacancy
Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) Österåker is looking for two dedicated and energetic Fritidshem Staff members (recreation) to join our team.
We are currently recruiting for two different positions at 65%, each covering a specific part of the school day.
The Roles
We are looking for candidates who can fill one of the following shifts:
The Morning Shift (07:00 – 12:00): You will be the first friendly face the students see, helping them start their day with a sense of security and structure.
The Afternoon Shift (12:00 – 17:00): You will lead afternoon activities, ensuring students have a meaningful and active transition from the classroom to home.
Your Profile
To thrive in our team, you should be a responsible team player who truly enjoys working with children.Fluency in either English or Swedish is required. Being bilingual is a significant plus.Knowledge of Lågaffektivt Bemötande (LAB) / Low-Arousal Approach. You understand how to manage challenging situations with calm and pedagogical tact. A proactive mindset whether it’s organising a football tournament, a craft workshop, or helping with homework.

Om rollerna
Morgon (07:00 – 12:00): Du är det första ansiktet eleverna möter och hjälper dem att starta dagen med trygghet och struktur.
Eftermiddag (12:00 – 17:00): Du leder eftermiddagsaktiviteter och ser till att eleverna får en meningsfull och aktiv övergång från klassrummet till hemmet.
Din profil
För att trivas i vårt team bör du vara en ansvarsfull lagspelare som genuint uppskattar att arbeta med barn. Du talar antingen engelska eller svenska obehindrat. Det är ett stort plus om du är tvåspråkig.Du har kunskap om Lågaffektivt bemötande och förstår hur man hanterar utmanande situationer med lugn och pedagogisk sätt. Du tar egna initiativ, oavsett om det handlar om att organisera en fotbollsturnering, hålla i en pysselworkshop eller hjälpa till med läxor.
