About this vacancy

IES Österåker opened in August 2024. We are a F-9 school, 2 parallel classes with up to 610 students. We are committed to our ethos which is a school with a calm and safe learning environment, bilingual teaching and high academic expectations.

IESÖ follows the Swedish national curriculum while embracing bilingualism and the command of the English language . After grade 3 up to 50% of the lessons are taught in English. 

The school is located in central Åkersberga, about 30 minutes from Stockholm and a 5 minute walk from Roslagsbanan. Our campus combines newly built and renovated facilities and is close to sports facilities, nature, and the Stockholm archipelago.

We are looking for a positive, creative, and service-minded person who will play an important role in creating a welcoming and engaging atmosphere at our school. You will have an integral role in key events and celebrations both from an organisational perspective as well as the practical. Many things that make IES Österåker special is that which is above and beyond the ordinary. 

It is important that you are comfortable with the creative and innovative side of things and that you interact well with children of all ages. You will assist students, parents, staff, and visitors, answer questions, manage day-to-day reception tasks, and help create a positive first impression of the school.

This includes welcoming and assisting visitors, ensuring no one enters the school without authorisation and vetting , helping maintain a safe and secure school environment, handling general office administration such as deliveries, managing incoming and outgoing post and supporting the practical organisation of the school among other things.
