Fritidsledare for Internationella Engelska Skolan Skellefteå
IES Skellefteå* is looking for a committed and knowledgeable Fritidsledare to join our team in August 2025. This role entails planning and running leisure activities during breaks and after school, while also providing support in the classroom. This is your opportunity to work at a multicultural school in an international environment with a productive and encouraging team.
IES Skellefteå opened in 2019 and offers outstanding bilingual education to around 500 students between grades F-9, and fulfilling career opportunities for around 80 employees.

About the position
Main duties include:
Primarily working with the F-3 year groups
Supporting and substituting lessons during the day
Planning and organising Fritids activities before and after school
Who are you?
You have experience working with children in a professional capacity
You have knowledge of and share the values and ethos of the International English School*
Fluent in English and Swedish (speech and writing)
You are passionate about development and a collegial approach
You are enthusiastic, positive, committed and a cooperative team player, willing to go the extra mile for students and colleagues
In addition to teaching meaningful and enjoyable lessons, you are well organised, take pride in your mentorship and other school duties
You are an outstanding role model for our students

Our Fritids staff have a great deal of responsibility for our students' development, both knowledge-wise and socially, and therefore we want the applicant to be professional, persistent and creative in their professional practice. Furthermore, applicants should be qualified, flexible and work well in a team, as Fritids teachers and school teachers work together in grade-wise work teams during the school day. As a teacher in our Fritids activities, you receive benefits such as free pedagogical lunch and an afternoon snack “mellis” every day.

The position is for a full-time fixed-term semestertjänst contract for a full academic year (August 2025 to June 2026), with the possibility of extension until further notice.
