Teacher – Science and Physical Education (Years 4–6)
Are you passionate about helping students reach their full potential in Science and Physical Education? Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) Örebro is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science and Physical Education teacher for grades 4–6. This is a 100% substitute position for the 2026/2027 school year, starting in August 2026, with the possibility of a permanent position thereafter. About the PositionAs a Science and Physical Education teacher at IES Örebro, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality lessons that engage and motivate students. You will work in an international environment where both English and Swedish are used as languages of instruction and communication.
Key Responsibilities-
Teach Science and Physical Education to students in grades 4–6 in accordance with the Swedish curriculum.

Create a positive, structured, and stimulating classroom environment.

Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and active participation among students.

Collaborate closely with colleagues and parents to support each student’s academic and personal development.

Maintain high academic and behavioral expectations for all students.

Certified teaching qualification.

Fluent English speaker

Previous experience teaching Science and PE in a school setting is highly valued.

Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to the IES ethos of “tough love”—creating a calm, safe, and orderly learning environment.
