Join our team as a Science Teacher for Years 6–9 at IES Jönköping!
Are you a passionate educator who wants to inspire the next generation of scientists? We are looking for a Science Teacher for our Middle and Senior school. At IES Jönköping, we provide a structured and stimulating environment where curiosity is encouraged. You will work in well-equipped labs alongside a supportive subject team to deliver high-quality science education.
This is a 6-month substitute position (parental leave cover) with a workload of 80–100%, starting in August 2026.
About the RoleWe are an international school with 850 students from förskoleklass to Year 9. Our staff includes 130 employees from all over the world. As a Science Teacher, you will be a key player in our team during this period. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, collaborating with your subject department, and mentoring a group of approximately 15 students. You will play a vital part in maintaining our calm and productive environment where every student can succeed.
Who are we looking for?We are seeking an enthusiastic and competent teacher who is a positive and reliable team player. Key qualifications include:
Qualified Teacher Status (Lärarlegitimation) in Science for Years 6–9 (or currently finishing your degree).
Fluency in English (as Science is taught in English at IES).
Professionalism, responsibility, and a positive mindset.
The ability to jump straight in and become a part of a collaborative team.
